
Robin Foret joined Fowler Rodriguez in September of 2014 as a partner in the Houston office. Ms. Foret has practiced law in Texas for 22 years and prides herself in delivering cost-effective legal advice and risk management solutions to clients, both inside and outside of the courtroom. Ms. Foret is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She routinely offers advice and risk management training in the employment law and human resources areas. Ms. Foret frequently writes articles and gives educational presentations to train employers and their employees on the legal requirements of various employment-related laws and regulations.
Ms. Foret also has an active litigation practice, which includes representing clients in a variety of employment-related and commercial lawsuits in state and federal court and before administrative agencies. Ms. Foret’s experience includes: wage and hour issues under FLSA; leave under the FMLA; trade secret and copyright litigation; breach of employment agreements; severance agreements, noncompetition and non-solicitation covenants; Worker’s Compensation and non-subscriber claims; Title VII discrimination, harassment and retaliation matters; OSHA matters; HIPAA issues; FINRA arbitrations; securities-related litigation; and whistleblower claims under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other statutes.
Prior to joining the law firm of Fowler Rodriguez, Ms. Foret founded and operated The Foret Law Firm with her husband and law partner, Randall M. Foret, who is also a partner with Fowler Rodriguez. Ms. Foret also represents numerous clients in the insurance defense practice area, in a variety of cases, including but not limited to, employment discrimination, premises liability, worker’s compensation, products liability and medical malpractice defense. She began her career as an attorney with a Travelers Insurance Company captive law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she gained substantial experience litigating and trying cases in both state and federal courts.
