Mark D. Rich practice focuses on international tax planning, pre-immigration tax planning, and U.S. and international trust and estate planning. He represents many wealthy U.S. and foreign families in their legal affairs. Mr. Rich has extensive experience in multi-generational tax planning for family businesses as well as the diversifications of family assets including concentrated positions in marketable securities. He works extensively in coordination with international clients’ non-U.S. counsel and with lawyers in multiple other jurisdictions located around the world. His representation includes the structuring of ownership of U.S. investments and business interests, through corporations, trusts, partnerships, foundations and limited liability companies based upon the client’s needs and tax position.

Mr. Rich counsels US and non-US private clients with structuring and acquisition of aircraft and yachts. In addition, he has worked extensively with US, Eurpoean and Latin American private clients in real estate and other business ventures in the United States and with US corporations in their international activities.

An advisor on estate planning for US and non-US clients and pre-immigration tax planning, he counsels private clients with significant business interests in the United States in various complex income and estate planning tax issues.

Mr. Rich represents private clients with significant business interests in Argentina, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Guatemala, Puerto Rico and Honduras on complex international tax planning issues.

Mr. Rich is a member of the Florida Bar, including the Taxation, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law sections. He is past co-chairman of the International Estate Planning Committee and Education Committee and past vice chairman of institutes, Seminars and Workshops.

A frequent author, Mr. Rich has contributed to "Foreign Investment in the United States - Tax and Related Matters" and "Estate and Gift Taxation of Non-Resident Aliens" published by the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Rich also co-authored "Foreign Investments in US Real Estate - Beyond FIRPTA." published by the University of Miami Business Law Journal.
