

Jacob Gardner joined Fowler Rodriguez in 2010 and is a partner in the New Orleans office. His practice is concentrated in the areas of admiralty law, maritime and non-maritime personal injury defense, marine insurance, and civil litigation.
A native of Louisiana, Mr. Gardner was born in Covington. He attended Sewanee: the University of the South, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude in 2003 with B.A. degrees in Spanish and Political Science. He served as the Student Assembly President at Sewanee. Mr. Gardner obtained his J.D. and B.C.L. degrees in 2006 from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. At LSU Law, he served as President of the Student Bar Association, and was the winner of Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition.
Mr. Gardner was admitted to practice before the Louisiana Bar in 2006, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western, and Middle Districts of Louisiana, the Southern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Mr. Gardner was named a “Rising Star” by Louisiana Super Lawyers® in 2013 and 2014. He served on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute (“SEALI”) in 2012-2013 as Port Director for New Orleans.
